hi i like settler's cafe a lot! haha went there on tues with aki pple and it was real fun. I like the whole concept of having a cafe where u can play board/card etc games is ingenious =) and if u like less bimbotic than the other sources of entertainment we young pple tend to indulge in haha. It's like 6 bucks for 4 hours (2-6pm) with free flow drinks... i think this is the students' package for weekdays. shd be much more ex at other times so yeah hehe i'm happy. that day we went to the clarke quay one every one there was young haha. oh btw there's another at holland v at the HDB blks yups. haha yes i am real excited abt this... argh of cos it can get addictive. the nice thing is that the games they have are unusual - some u cant get in singapore. of cos there's like monopoly and pictionary but u shd play the unique ones u cant get outside.

my table played king me (some medieval type election game haha how timely =) i liked the graphics it had... all the medieval characters like leonardo, piero, gavino etc etc haha so funny... then the next game we played was citadel... also some medieval graphic type. it was real interesting cos so many factors are invovled - role-playing, city building etc... haha and i won the last game heh all cos they decided to kill wl's "properties" instead of mine thru some weird logicking... haha. okok i wont gloat =) oh btw the staff there explains the game rule to u so yeah. and guess what i met wt there my sec3/4 mg classmate who also went to ac. haha small world. why are my old classes so unenthu... haha i think it's time for a reunion of sorts =) 5 yrs now... awwwwwwwwww we're so old... 5 yrs since we took the 'O's =( now nearly halfway thru uni... oh well i shd be happy rite... there's always this tension between wanting to grow up and wanting to stay young. ok i shd stop complaining abt this =)

come to think of it i think i know why i like the whole settler's set up *heh pun not intended* cos when i was young i always loved it when i got to play such games with a grp of pple... u'll know what i mean if u're an only child and u dun really have pple at home who wd wanna play games like that with u. i mean my parents do pay good attention to me haha at times too much =) but i guess they were not into this kinda stuff. so the only times i got to play monopoly or something like that was with the uncles/aunts and mostly friends. heh so that's why settlers is so appealing =)

yup after settler's things got more boring i guess. went to gym on wed yay haha it's been a long long time =) then mostly online, on tv, on reading, on shopping... oh but great singapore sale is at the end of the month so shopping shd wait =) oh well now waiting for the outcome of that internship so yeah...

Hi! this entry is kinda overdue. My exams ended last sat praise the Lord! Which means that the loong summer hols has begun. that's the extreme makeover for you... from the heights of utter busyness to the slums of slacking haha... but i aint complaining. not now at least =)

this also marks the end of the widely-perceived as most demanding sem in aki sch cos there are 5 core aki mods with design counting for 12MCs (or triple that of a normal mod) yes unusual things like that only occur in aki. a place where u call yr tutors by their first name (cos they told u too), where yr tutors appear in jeans (stylish ones of cos) where one of the entries in the handbook is "do not drive on the day of submission if u r too tired" and where projects are treated more imptantly than exams... haha like i said before, life in aki is never boring.

last sun was amanda's birthday party heh was real fun... actually it was the Taboo game we played that was real fun ooh plus the good food thank you Amanda! =) Taboo was so funny esp cos we were all aki pple playing and we describe some words in aki terminology. Eg. the word to be described was "deluge" which essentially refers to a flood, the flood related to Noah's ark is also commonly known as the deluge. so to avoid saying all the taboo words on the card, it was a brilliant thing to use aki terminology... yj said "one type of automatic sprinkler system" we all roared with laughter haha only happens when u play with aki pple and err prob only we get the joke haha. oh we also played with the specy (bespectacled) pple against the non-specys. And guess who won? of cos the specys haha. anyw it was real fun. hope we can do it again =)

then it was this week. time to shop! hehe time to slack. time to catch up on all the lost sleep. and time to find a job/internship. Well i hope i can get one =) praying abt it so yeah. thank God for the usp opportunity haha so amazing jus when i told God sure dun have since they havent ever have anything for aki pple. but then surprise surprise He provides one and yes i'm humbled. =) but joyful and hopeful. Praise Him =)

so while we're all finding and waiting for those jobs... it's time to do all the stuff u never got to do during termtime. like sleep, like slack, like shop =) hehe oh and tv too. i like amazing race u jus get to see so many places and things yup =) and the ch8 9pm drama women of times... haha only interested mostly in the Felicia Chin-Julian Hee part... well she's one of my faves... gorgeous eyes and nice personality. =) oh and reading something other than aki stuff ha.

It was a crazy sem yeah but i sure learnt the most this time... like really how to build a building. haha i rem saying that we're learning stuff in uni that the air-con man learns on the job. but yj said that air-con man only knows air-con, but we also know elec, firesafety, water, lifts, sewage blah blah blah... of cos not in deep detail but enough so u know if the contractor is doing the rite thing or not haha and of cos whether it works with yr design or not. Oh yeah i rem something jo said before too. it's like u work real hard for 4 mths each time and then u get a nice long 3 mth summer hols with no homework unlike the days of yore haha so yeah its not bad actually. much better than the poor med pple. so be thankful k. plus its far more interesting than medicine haha okok i'm being biased here. sorry no offence to the docs =)

Anyw i never regretted taking this route in life yups and thank you God for bringing me here and bringin me thru this =) yups there's so many creative possibilities and exciting opportunities out there and aki sch does open yr world to other arenas of art as well which is great. Sure it's hard work but then again few things come by easy. Yup so vote for architecture and u'll learn how to design your own lift even =)

haha ok jus joking but there's truth in that. as in they do teach u design considerations for installing a lift. the question came out for the BU exam=) heh ok i gtg now... take care all u pple and have a great hols. God bless!
