Headache & heartache.
That pretty much sums up my feelings today.
I felt kinda numb after yest when my self-thought pinnacle of my materiality design process came crashing down... where do I go now? in terms of design that is... I must really trust in my Creator for the inspiration & ideas & creativity :) truly.
Ok that's all for now... hope to bring some good news soon. once again *watch this space*

P.S. one good thing happened today... I managed to find my model-making bamboo at daiso
today :) really amazing shop in terms of products & prices! esp for artsy fartsy pple :)

hi today was my crit... wasnt good but nvm i musnt get discouraged *brave smile* :) hmm i anticipate more sketches, models and brainstorming ahead...
one thing i feel so wasted and sad abt is that our studio culture is gone... their breaking out of our studios took away the dynamics of it all... pple hardly stay bk now & even when they do it's jus not the same anymore... gone r the jokes in the wee hrs of the morning haha and all the crap... maybe its the terrible suffering last sem of the countless lines we had to draw, the bending backs that ached so bad, the mindless dotting of the grass parts, the endless straining of eyes to draw those numerous trees... the frustrating attempts to fig out how to draw perspectives etc that drew as so close tog... the legacy goes on... u can see in lecs that pple sit with their old studio grps haha. at least thanks God for lecs and lunches and dinners where we still get tog and toilet trips too hahaha
hmm my life hasnt been too interesting of late... feeling a sense of anticipation for wonderfully amazing things to occur in the near future! :) i'm watiting :) hehe
ok thank God tmr is the only day i dun hav to get to sch by 10... taking the bus then is a walk of faith... sometimes it's jus too crowded and it doesnt stop... so far so good thank God really. tmr my 1st class is at noon... one of the slacker days... hmm the wkend's coming i think now really cant slack so much already... gotta do design intensively :) CNY is practically non existent since submission is the following monday... thank God my art hist mod is quite relaxed ... more xiong towards the end though... haha my presentation is on the esplanade... haha i think i did us a kindness by giving us aki pple the aki stuff like galleries to do :) good excuse to go there during the sem break :) hehe anyone wanna go with me? :) hehe of cos i only hav 1 person in mind for that haha but does he know? :)

yest was the announcement of the lounge design competition results and guess what? my vert studio didnt win hai so sad... grp 5 won well well i wonder why? hai wasnt too impressed by their stuff thought maybe the pillow dispenser one would hav won... too bad now i cant have our shelving thingy and ikea kids playgrd balls!!! built ... what to do... i really wonder though if they will really build grp 5's design... the box thingy is still ok but the retractable table thing? i doubt they can get everything at 3K ... nvm vert studio was a good learning experience and got to know some snrs too...
now the real school stuff has started... endless model making & cash registers at Art Friend ringing... well our hang out is bras basah haha what a life we aki pple lead :) of cos it makes a good excuse to go to raffles city for shopping :) hehe went there today but didnt manage to get what i wanted... nvm the dozens of bargain shops ard here is the best for getting odd model making stuff. had our 1st construction site visit last wk so interesting huh all the yellow & white hard hats! :) ok i gotta start making more models soon...hmm this sem has been relatively slack thank GOD! :) compared to last but things will prob pick up closer to submission. Guess what design submission & my art hist test is all on Valentine's day... heartless profs haha *pun intended*

hey i'm terribly sleep-deprived thanks to the TAS (The Architectural Society) lounge exercise. well well actually it was quite good hehe compared to normal studio...it was a vertical studio thingy that is, each studio consists of year 1s,2s and 4s but mine didnt hav any year4s. us yr1s were quite slack cos the year2s knew more stuff & were better & some stuff we really cdn't help much. haha actually it was really good in the sense that i learnt lotsa stuff - thank God for the great seniors :) some of my friends hav seniors that r too dominating or jus cant care. I learnt like a lil photoshop, correadraw, autocad even! haha thanks to mr modelmaker we even learnt model making tips ... and he's our yr ... so paiseh huh. haha never been so slack b4 submission b4... we literally had to beg kf to let us do something which he eventually gave in to so we were cutting pieces of wood lol hey i did the coloured balls & window frames too! :) i cant believe that we even had the time & energy to tell lame jokes & some more intellectual riddles haha thru which they found out i was a kentang - and the attributed my poor command of Chinese to AC what a joke haha culture shock the point was further proved when edlyn didnt know most of the Chinese stuff either. well well what to do at least i still passed Chinese relatively decently by AC stds :) haha ok another amusing thing frm the vertical studio was the eye candy thingy haha lil did i know that lw & j were captivated by *ahem* frm my vert studio on the 1st day hahaha roving eyes yeah :) today was the funniest... we, marshall & qb were talking abt it over lunch and then we walked down to the 2nd flr and guess who was there? haha i think poor j was overwhelmed by it... worse still when we came to the exhibition hall... she talked to a girl snr who brought him down to the hall all bewildered and wondering why hahaha i had to control myself when he said hi to me lol oh well he's attached too bad for j :) haha actually i think it's jus a mini crush in a place where the scenery's quite pathetic haha... not that i really care...
ok jus hoping that now we'll win the lounge design competition next monday we'll know *watch this space* haha
oh well got the materiality presentation tmr... guess i better start doing it now...

hey school's starting next week... well well time to wake up from lala land :) this hols has been one big slack time for me cant blame me cos of crazy term time so once it's the hols why bother to tire yrself out in the hols? haha all that shopping, slacking & playing games on yahoo, popcap etc so bad huh hey but I did something productive too... the worship practices & real thingy at church & for Christmas too :) thank God for that :) good to serve Him yeah. this last wk of the hols has been pretty trying...waking up early for 9am watercolour classes... so ridiculous they're stealing our hols... okok that's not so bad must admit that watercoloring is quite nice but making us come bk on Sun is too much! infringing on church u know ... what happened to the 5 day work wk??? oh well what to do welcome to architecture folks! that's the way we do things here. okok enough of the angst :) well today we do our new studio allocations... thank God it wasnt that bad I have like a quarter of my oldstudio pple here! :) but the tutor is a different matter altogether nevertheless I shall keep an open & optimistic mind :) praying hard that this sem will be better than last in terms of grades & quality of life :) haha ok gtg now watercolour class tmr! :) good nitey! :)
