1326 - jus 4 numbers. but it represents so much blood, sweat and tears. Finally nearly over.
Submission this morning. Presentation on fri. Then it's time for yr own 1326. and bear in mind there's a 2326.
haha lotsa jokes have sprung up in the midst of our pain the past few weeks. bu4 guan3 san1 qi1 er4 shi1 yi1, zi3 guan3 yi1 san1 er4 shi2 liu4. it's basically a pun on a chi saying that i dun care abt anhything cept for 1326. how apt.
the past wk i've been in studio till 11 plus cept on wed and sun (which was meant for us to squeeze in time for design which has been sorely neglected) for more than 12 hrs daily jus to go for classes than 1326 model making starts.
now i really thank God for bringing us thru it all - frm the time our tutor threw highly sarcastic remarks at us to the time he said good2 to our cad drawings to our drooling at our own model :) to her using our model for her lec today! God has brought us so far and I pray that fri's presentation will culminate in a wonderful ending :) all the blood shed frm cutting ourselves accidentally :) the sweat frm when the aircon was off haha and frm the time when things seemed to be gg wrong, and the tears frm the pain of the whole thing. oh yeah and the fact that the model cost us 200+ bucks with only a 50 bucks reimbursement frm the sch. all that effort has produced beautiful models - seriously i mean it's amazing what we can do. my grp did a quarter of the s-house. it's like humongous and really impressive hehe
actually now that it's over i kinda miss it. yes it was sheer hard work and lotsa time spent and design neglected but it was really 1326 that brought the pple and life bk into the studios or it'll be jus as empty as the 1st half of the sem. yeah i like that atmoshphere. but the sanding of wood, the piecing tog of the system and the other nitty-gritties were at times excruciting. thank God for the talents in my grp as well - paul-a's cadding abilities, ernest's correadrawing and lasering expertise, jm's power cutting skills haha and zy's lao ban role. yup and the fact that we are cohesive and there are n slackers i'm, really grateful for. some of the grps were so poor thing -reduced to two pple. worse still when the key pple fell sick. yeah praise God for his grping me with these pple :) actually i learnt to laser too! hehe that day when i was the "freest" one so i had to go ALONE to the laser to attempt to try. at first the technician thought i was dense or smthg haha so embarrasing but than later when they came to find me hehe lo & behold i was like a pro haha almost. shocked them.
i felt like a carpenter when i was sanding, then a construction wker when i was making the cement foundation haha broad-based edu indeed. actually the hands-on part was really fun. i mean if i was in arts i'll be writing essays to no end. sick of it after jc.
well archi is a whole diff world and painful though the rigour might be, i dare say i belong here. yeah really enjoy what i'm doing. 1326 was an experience... one that was satisfying though it might be somewhat sadistic to say it was wonderful. haha it's much like ccab - was painful but thoroughly enjoyable despite that. yeah so much that maybe gg thru it again is not unthinkable. in the midst of pain, there was fun. haha of cos at times the pain was somewhat ridiculous. oh well, yeah u can see 1326 has pervaded deeply into aki life already. seriously if there werent other stuff to think abt, 1326 would hav been great.
oh well, it's time now to continue with the stuff we hav been neglecting thanks to 1326. my art hist essays & presentation, bu rpt on fri, 1326 ppt & writeup on fri and the ultimate craziness (for now at least) - p2 design ... 6panels, 1 site model, 1 final model, 1 1326 detail model. all by 11th of march. which means lil sleep and the usual. oh well. then it's the exams.then finally the light at the end of the tunnel. the breaking free from the cocoon.

P.S. the somewhat philosophical, whimsical tone here can be attributed to lightheadedness frm the lack of sleep and abundance of work. and the 1326 experience.
